π Welcome to the First Aid Society!
Think you’d know what to do if someone suddenly collapsed, started bleeding, or needed help in an emergency? Come along and find out!
Our First Aid Society Launch, Learn & Save Lives! event is a chance to meet the committee, discover what the society is all about and get involved in something that could genuinely make a difference.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or already know your CPR from your AED, everyone is welcome. You’ll have the opportunity to get involved in fun, interactive and hands-on activities while learning more about essential first aid and lifesaving skills.
We’ll also introduce what we have planned for the year, including:
β€οΈ Practical first aid sessions – build confidence with skills such as CPR, AED use and managing common emergencies.
π Volunteering opportunities – find out how you can get involved with St John Ambulance and support events in the community.
π₯ Meet new people – connect with students from across the University who are interested in first aid, healthcare, volunteering and making a difference.
π Socials & fundraising – because saving lives doesn't mean we can't have some fun along the way!
π‘ Future opportunities – hear about upcoming activities, training sessions and ways to get more involved with the society.
You don't need to study a healthcare course, and you don't need any previous first aid experience. The society is open to students from all courses and backgrounds.
