UPSU and the University's Careers and Employability Hub have come together, to organise an afternoon open to all students and staff, about rights in the workplace. You will be able to attend a number of workshops to discover more about what employee rights are, where they come from, and what to do should you feel these are not being recognised.
Current workshop areas include:
Harassment, bullying, and discrimination in the workplace
Dealing confidently with disclosure when completing application forms and attending interviews
Flexible working and leave (including maternity, paternity, adoption leave, grievance etc.).
The role of Trade Unions in supporting employees in the workplace
The potential impact of Brexit on employment rights
