Are you brand new to stand-up paddleboarding? Then this session is a perfect match for you!
This is the first of our brand new, EXCLUSIVE pool-based paddles at Plymouth Life Centre.
We strongly recommend that beginner members book onto this session so that you can feel more confident and comfortable on a board before you join us for your first Members' Social Paddle off Firestone Bay!
What to expect:
- Boards, paddles and buoyancy aids provided
- An opportunity to learn how to stand on a board in a safe, enclosed (and warm!) environment
- No pesky gusts of wind or boat wake to knock you off balance!
- Targeted assistance in improving your paddle technique
- Excellent, confidence-boosting guidance from South West SUP instructors
What to bring:
- Something to wear during your session, e.g:
- A swimming costume or trunks if you're likely to fall in,
- Or board shorts and a sports top/rash vest if you're a little more confident in your balancing skills
- A towel and dry clothes
- Warm layers for your journey home
Tickets will be £20pp due to the exclusivity of this event, and they will go live at 6pm on Tuesday 29th September!
Event photography and video
Please be aware that some of the University of Plymouth Students’ Union events may be attended by UPSU approved photographers and videographers, for capturing content to be used in UPSU and University online and offline marketing and promotional materials,
for example webpages, social media or flyers. If for whatever reason, you or a member of your group, do not wish to be photographed, please make yourself known to staff working at the event on arrival or to the photographer.
