General Friday Hangout Intro
Come join us during our Friday hangouts for some gaming on the big screens in the Rolle Building from 7pm-10pm! Room setup is from 6:30pm-7pm, so if you’d like to take part in some volunteering and help us get the rooms ready please fill out this form and we’ll be in touch: https://forms.gle/q3tL6D5S5nWg1NJx5
No Switch, consoles or controllers are needed for any of our sessions, we have our own consoles and plenty of controllers, but if you do have any please bring it along! We have access to lots of big screens and smaller TVs, so feel free to bring docks along too.
General Closer
We aim to be as welcoming and supportive as possible, so if you have any worries about accessibility or are just feeling nervous about getting involved get in contact with us via our social media/email and we’ll do our best to help! In the past we have met people in a familiar spot on campus to walk to the session together, or we have met outside the Rolle building, or just outside the room so you don’t have to walk in alone. We can make sure you’re able to get involved by saying hi, having a chat and teaching you how to play some of our favourite games! If that's not your vibe, and you just want to solo grind some Zelda or Mario Kart time trials that's also completely fine!
Snacks and drinks are welcome, being mindful that some of our members have allergies, as long as everything is left clean and tidy, and help reorganising the room after the session is very welcome, we hope to see you there!
Friday Hangouts Only
If you have found our sessions a little loud or are worried about the session being too loud or overwhelming, there will always be a chill room where the noise levels and vibes are kept more on the down low compared to our other rooms.
Social Media
The best way to get in contact with us is our Instagram or the discord (DM a committee member), but you can also message our Email and Facebook if needed.
If you join the Discord please fill out the Google Form in #member-verification and comment “done” in the channel so we can add the role for you.

Super SwitchUP Star
This is our termly mini-award to recognise a member of SwitchUP! who’s gone above and beyond that term. This could be someone who’s helped set up or pack away early, welcomed new members, been extra friendly and helpful, or made a positive impact in any way. Nominations can be submitted via a google form during the entirety of the term, and the winner will be announced in Discord and in person at the final SwitchUP! meeting of that term, receiving a small prize like a bag of sweets or a chocolate bar. Both committee and non-committee members are eligible — so only nominate someone if you have a genuine reason!
