Would you know how to show someone around campus? What if they couldn’t see?
At Guide Dogs we support thousands of people with visual impairments every year to live their lives to the full and now you can as well.
This short 2 hour course will show you how to act as a sighted guide for a person with a visual impairment in your community, covering basic sight loss awareness and techniques to overcome common obstacles which you will feel confident using in your day-to-day life. You can also hear more about the work that Guide Dogs is doing your area and how you can support people with visual impairments further.
With your help, we can make Plymouth a better place for everyone.

Please be aware that some of the University of Plymouth Students’ Union events may be attended by UPSU approved photographers and videographers, for capturing content to be used in UPSU and University online and offline marketing and promotional materials,
for example webpages, social media or flyers. If for whatever reason, you or a member of your group, do not wish to be photographed, please make yourself known to staff working at the event on arrival or to the photographer.
