Event update: Racing will take place today (Sunday 3rd November) from 11am
Four fleets ,over 130 boats. multiple Universities.
The Fleet Racing is the first race of the season. This year the event will be here in Plymouth at the Mount Batten Watersports Centre.
Seafaring students from across the UK will meet in Plymouth in a bid to win the 2019 British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) Fleet Racing Championships this November. This year the event will be hosted by the University of Plymouth Students’ Union (UPSU) and the University Sailing Club in partnership with Mount Batten Watersports Centre, Plymouth Youth Sailing and a range of individuals from the Plymouth sailing community.
Around 130 boats will be taking part in two days of racing in the first big competition of the University Sailing Season. The event takes place on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd November from the Mount Batten Watersports Centre.
Viewing the race:
Racing will be in Plymouth Sound starting from around 11.00 each day, spectators are encouraged to view the action from Plymouth Hoe, Mount Batten or Jennycliffe.
