If you've always fancied yourself as an expert sword fighter like in the movies, then fencing could be for you.
Fencing is amongst the most inclusive of all sports and one of the few that allows everyone to find their competitive edge. We’re here to help you discover, uncover or develop your physical and mental talents. If you’re new to the sport, we’ll lend you everything you need to explore your inner Jedi, it’s not just about being the biggest or strongest; intellect counts.
Fencing is a great way to work out and is unique in its need for mental and physical dedication – an intense match or training session is great for all-round fitness, muscle toning, building core strength, co-ordination and balance. Since you need to make lightning-fast decisions, it is also excellent for concentration and focus.
And if you're not into being the formal olympian fencer, we also offer HEMA. Here you can fence like they did hundreds of years ago with longsword, rapiers, shortswords and much more.
The strong bonds formed when fencing go beyond the gym; we’re amongst the most dedicated on the social scene too with regular weekly events. We’re proud to say that amongst all the University sporting clubs, we’re rarely off the piste!
Come and join us, challenge yourself and others but most of all, find new fun!
Weekly training timings:
Mondays: 18:00-20:00 (Fencing - Coached)

For example, if you buy Regular Fencing and want to come to our HEMA sessions then you would purchase this to be able to come along
(this also works if you bought HEMA first and want to attend regular fencing)
Once you have purchased a membership, please message our Facebook page and we will add you to our 2023/2024 group chat!
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact us through Facebook, Instagram or even talk to us in person. I hope to see you at our next session.
