Welcome to the Plymouth Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Society!

We’re thrilled to start this society and are excited to offer a range of events and networking opportunities that will be beneficial for all students, whether you're interested in maxillofacial surgery or simply curious to learn more.

Our main aims include:

1. Providing Insight into Maxillofacial Surgery: 👨‍⚕️
   Maxillofacial surgery is often seen as a niche but incredibly rewarding field. We aim to increase awareness of this speciality by offering insights into what a career in this area looks like and providing students with work experience opportunities.
2. Establishing an Affiliation with the Royal College of Surgeons: 💊
   We’re working to affiliate with the Royal College of Surgeons, which would allow us to host annual conferences, as well as webinars and talks featuring experienced maxillofacial surgeons.
3. Offering Teaching Sessions and Clinical Skills Workshops: 👨‍🏫
   We aim to provide practical, helpful teaching sessions for both preclinical and clinical students, helping everyone prepare for assessments and develop key skills.
