About us

Launched in September 2022, we're the University of Plymouth's Minecraft Society! We run events year-round, from in-person socials to online tournaments, you can find everything block-related from us. We have our own survival server that you can connect to on any device!

What do we do?

We usually meet on Monday evenings 7pm - 10pm for bring your own device socials, with our monthly tournament socials happening on Saturdays 3pm - 5pm. Our in-person socials allow you to get to know people and make new friends, while taking part in fun activies, such as movie nights, escape room events, baking competitions and board game evenings. Our online Minecraft tournaments include build battle, hunger games and paintball, and we take part in other online games such as Gartic Phone!

Currently running 1.21.4 with support for older and newer clients

Builds can be protected from griefing using the towny plugin. This also allows you to team up with your friends!

The server has a whitelist on so that online society members are allowed. Please make sure that you have confirmed your Minecraft username with any of the committee members so that you have access to the server. This is most easily done by joining our Discord server. We cannot enable you to join unless you provide these details.
