Hi everyone! My name is Stuart and I am a second year Mental Health Nursing Student and your Student Rep for the School of Nursing and Midwifery.

My main aims as your School Rep for this academic year are:

  1. Inclusivity – To ensure that I make every effort for all Nursing and Midwifery students to have the opportunity to provide feedback on their experiences within the School and have their voices heard.
  2. Frequent and Clear Communication – To make regular contact with course reps and academic leads, enabling feedback to be accurately relayed.
  3. Collaboration – To work as a team with students and academic leads within the School, ensuring that I am accurately representing what they are saying to me and sharing this information in a professional and effective manner.

A little bit about me:

In addition to the School Rep role I am also a course rep for the second year BSc Nursing courses, a PALS lead and have also recently been elected to the RCN South West Regional Board. I believe that all of these roles complement each other and will help me to gain a balanced understanding of how course experiences can be improved for Nursing and Midwifery students.

If you have any feedback about your student experience or suggestions for how it could be improved, please feel free to contact me directly or via your course reps.
