Hi, I’m Emily, a Year 4 BDS student and the School Representative for Peninsula Dental School for the academic year 24-25. I’m looking forward to representing you all over the next academic year.

My main aims for school rep are:

• Ensure the different feedback systems within the school are easy to understand.
• Ensure course representatives have a clear and fair way to record, report and explain student feedback.
• Explore ways in which students can learn and collaborate on sustainability in dentistry.
• To be a known and active school representative within the dental school.

The satisfaction and quality of a degree are mostly derived from the environment, the education and the students. The student perspective is therefore an important piece in this and I really enjoy being part of these feedback meetings and committees delivering student voice.

Previously I have been an EBL rep, a course Rep and a PALS leader, so I am very familiar with the various feedback systems within the dental school. I also sit on the BDA South West Young Dental Group, as the student representative from Peninsula. This has allowed me to develop and understand representation, organisation and the collection of feedback.
