I’m Jack, a second-year International Tourism Management student. I’ve always been interested in how people experience places, travel, and hospitality, and my degree has really pushed me toward a career in the cruise industry. I’m currently building experience both through my studies and real industry work, and my long-term goal is to work at sea before moving into teaching and training in the future.

Alongside my studies, I work as a Duty Manager in a busy city-centre hotel, which has given me experience dealing with different situations, communicating clearly, and supporting both guests and staff. It’s helped me understand how important good communication is, which is a big part of why I wanted to take on the School Rep role.

Outside of university and work, I spend time with friends, explore new places, and go to the gym when I can. I also enjoy travelling and planning future trips. I’m looking forward to representing students in the Business School and making sure everyone’s voice is heard this year.
