Student Finance can sometimes be a stressful process, but it is vital for most students when it comes to not only financing studies but also supporting living costs.

Applications for Student Finance for the 24/25 academic year are now open! You can apply by going to: www.gov.uk/apply-online-for-student-finance

Remember, the sooner you get your application in, the sooner it can be approved and the sooner you can have money in place.

The Student Finance website allows you to keep track of your application and lets you check what actions you need to complete. If you are applying late, sometimes Student Finance can pay you a smaller amount to begin with, just to ensure you have some funding in the early weeks of your studies. A top up payment will then arrive once details have been processed. The process of assessment can take between 6-8 weeks, so it is important that you get that application sorted as soon as possible.

More information on what to do if applying late can be found herehttps://www.gov.uk/guidance/how-to-get-your-first-payment-if-youre-applying-late
