Staying in Plymouth over the break?
Before you leave, if you have anything in your kitchen cupboards that you can spare, we’d be so grateful for a donation to our Student Food Bank, Feed it Forward. A tin of beans or bag of pasta can go a long way to spread Christmas cheer to your fellow students who might not be able to spend it with their families this year.
There are donation stations dotted around campus, but our team will be in The Hive until 18th December and will gratefully take donations!
If you’re alone for Christmas, Park Pharmacy Trust are working with Plymouth Social Isolation Forum to host a community dinner at The Sherwell Centre on Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Find out more information and reserve a place here.

No matter how you’re spending the break it’s important to look after yourself and protect your mental wellbeing. This season can feel different for everyone so taking small steps to support yourself can make a big difference. Enjoy balanced meals, stay active in ways that suit you, spend time with others if you can and avoid pressure to overspend and be mindful of alcohol. Prioritising what feels good for you can help keep your spirits lifted throughout the holidays.
Please remember, if you need support, reach out to the Advice team who are here to help until Friday 18th December and return on Monday 5th January. Or read their online guides here.
Wishing you a relaxing winter break ❄️✨ Enjoy the time off and we look forward to welcoming you back in the New Year! - UPSU x
