Semester two saw multiple projects taking shape.
January saw the inaugural meeting of the Peninsula Dental Environmental Sustainability Group, which I helped to set-up and currently co-chair. It is a platform for students and staff alike to come together to further environmental sustainability across Peninsula Dental School and Peninsula Dental Social Enterprise.
Semester two saw the role out of a new project, allowing Dental course reps to gather feedback and suggestions from their peers, advocating for their year group's interests at Dentsoc meetings. We hope that this allows a clear pathway of feedback into Dentsoc.
The UPSU Truro Campus Society was set up and approved in semester two, and we hope to have our first social in Semester three. I hope the society will be a positive platform to bring University of Plymouth students together, that are studying on the Truro campus.
In March, I co-organised various events for World Oral Health Day. In addition, I co-ordinated with the SU with regards to World Oral Health day on the main University Campus.
I attended the SSLC meeting, promulgating feedback and student views, and have proactively reached out to the course reps asking for feedback. I was also involved in a feedback meeting regarding the implementation of AI in teaching.
