On the 20th October the University of Plymouth Cycling Club (UPC) took part in the British Universities and Colleges Sport Hill Climb Championship at Edale in the Peak District National Park.
The race captain Nicole Coates came second in the female hill climb catergory with a time of 8:38,367, averaging 13.8km/h. The course had a 2Km long 25% gradient section, that was a challenge to even the strongest of riders. James Hywel-Davies was the best placed male rider in 20th out of 260 riders.
