Dementia Friends is all about learning more about dementia and the small ways you can help. You will grow your knowledge along with an opportunity to ask someone who is living with living with a diagnosis questions.

Become a Dementia Friend

Alzheimer’s Society’s Dementia Friends programme is the biggest ever initiative to change people’s perceptions of dementia. It aims to transform the way the nation thinks, acts and talks about the condition. A nationally recognised workshop designed to promote understanding and awareness of dementia and how people can support those living within their communities. Dementia Friends Champions run Information Sessions to help you understand what it is like to live with dementia and the actions you can take.

During this friendly and interactive Session, you will increase your understanding of dementia, and think about the small things that you can do to make a difference to people affected by dementia in your community. A Q&A will follow the session with a local person living with a diagnosis.

This event is part of National Student Volunteer Week
