Humane Acts Bystander Intervention Training (HABIT) is an innovative new approach to tackling the problem of sexual assault on university campuses. Completing this training will equip you with the skills to intervene in troubling situations safely, comfortably, and successfully.
HABIT is a trauma-informed, voluntary program that targets the moral reasoning of bystanders in situations that could lead to sexual assault. It addresses social norms of students and in so doing aims to help students like yourself, use their intuition to make judgements to intervene based on their deep-seated values and sense of ethics. Based on research on bystander intervention and moral reasoning, this training aims to work with where your their values lie to motivate future bystanding in sexual assault situations.
This training is in two halves, so make sure to book on to this session, and the follow up session on Wednesday 25th April (details avialable here).
