A must have skill for almost any voluntary/job role.

A good session for those of you who run a sports club or society, and/or who work in/are looking to work in a service based job. You will come to understand the importance of providing good customer service, cover some of the legal rights customers have, and be provided with tips and ideas on how to ensure your members/customers recieve the best service possible. You'll come to appreciate that customer service is not a skill required for use in commerical organisations alone.

Aim: To provide learners with a better understanding of customer service.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the session, you will be able to:

  1. Explain why customer service is important to organisations.
  2. Describe at least three techniques to providing effective customer service.
  3. Create at least two Customer Service Standards.
  4. Recall one legal right of customers.

Booking onto this session will open two weeks before the event. To be reminded of when booking goes live, and to recieve updates about other training sessions, simply e-mail jonathan.noades@su.plymouth.ac.uk to be added to the UPSU Training mailing list.
