Make payment for your veg box
Thank you for visiting the Fruit and Vegetable Co-operative payment page.
By pre-paying £3, you are confirming that you would like to volunteer during the allocated Tuesday slot and will receive your produce.
All of the money goes directly back to FareShare South West - the charity that supplies UPSU with the surplus food and funds the cost of running their service. To learn more about FareShare, and if you are interested in volunteering there, visit fareshare.org.uk.
The prepayments are non-refundable. If you have paid but cannot attend your volunteering session, you will need to find somebody else to volunteer in your place.
Please note that we do not know which produce is going to be in the boxes until the morning of. Payments are non-refundable. If you have not prepaid, a box has not been reserved for you so you will not receive produce.
There is a limit of 20 boxes per week - on a first come, first served basis to whoever has prepaid.
The veg box scheme, in its current form, will be coming to an end, with the final collection on 19th May. We’re hoping to restart in September, but for that to happen the co-op must become either a student-led volunteering project or a society. Without that, it won’t be able to continue.
Help us keep the co-op running!
As a co-op, this veg box scheme relies on its members to run and shape it. We need people to come along at 11:30am on Tuesdays to help set up tables and boxes, sort the food, and clear down afterward. It’s a short, simple commitment—and you’ll still be saving money on your weekly food shop.
For the scheme to remain sustainable, we also need to:
- Sell all 20 boxes each week to cover the cost of food from Fareshare Southwest and prevent it going to landfill
- Start setup promptly at 11:30am
- Ensure all boxes are collected by 1:00pm
If you value affordable food and reducing waste, please get involved and help make this co-op viable again.
