No Switch, consoles or controllers are needed for any of our sessions, we have our own consoles and plenty of controllers, but if you do have any please bring it along! We have access to lots of big screens and smaller TVs, so feel free to bring docks along too.
This Valentine’s Day, we are going to be running a “Speed Friending” event! Starting at 7:30, this is a fun way to get to know people within the society better by answering questions given to you by a prompt sheet (such as “if you could live in one game for the rest of your life, what game would it be?”). You would spend around 5 minutes with a person, and once that’s done, you’d rotate around to a new person and repeat! The event will be free, but you must buy a ticket on the UPSU website if you want to participate! If you just want to come and play games as normal no ticket is needed!
We aim to be as welcoming and supportive as possible, so if you have any worries about accessibility or are just feeling nervous about getting involved get in contact with us via our social media/email and we’ll do our best to help! In the past we have met people in a familiar spot on campus to walk to the session together, or we have met outside the Rolle building, or just outside the room so you don’t have to walk in alone. We can make sure you’re able to get involved by saying hi, having a chat and teaching you how to play some of our favourite games! If that's not your vibe, and you just want to solo grind some Zelda or Mario Kart time trials that's also completely fine!
Snacks and drinks are welcome, being mindful that some of our members have allergies, as long as everything is left clean and tidy, and help reorganising the room after the session is very welcome, we hope to see you there!
