The Students’ Union is run by students, for students, and exists to improve your experiences as a University of Plymouth student, on and off campus!
The Annual Student Meeting, or ASM, is your opportunity to hear about the work of your Students’ Union, including how money you spend at your SU is reinvested back into the SU to continue supporting students.
Students are at the heart of everything that we do, and you have the power to shape our objectives through your engagement and feedback.
At the ASM, students have the opportunity to ask questions about the Annual Report and accounts from the previous financial year and discuss the things that are important to them, shaping and getting involved in activities miving forwards.
The deadlines are as follows:
- Proposals to change the SUs M&A's and By-laws (14 working days) - Wednesday 28th January 2026
- Policy Proposals (10 working days) - Tuesday 3rd February 2026
- Policy Proposals published (7 working days) - Friday 6th February 2026
- Reports published (5 working days) - Tuesday 10th February 2026

Event photography and video
Please be aware that some of the University of Plymouth Students’ Union events may be attended by UPSU approved photographers and videographers, for capturing content to be used in UPSU and University online and offline marketing and promotional materials,
for example webpages, social media or flyers. If for whatever reason, you or a member of your group, do not wish to be photographed, please make yourself known to staff working at the event on arrival or to the photographer.
