Are you a Student Studying at the University of Plymouth? 

The Green Communities project has been working closely with the University to provide practical outdoor experience for students in the city! it doesnt matter what you are studying, anyone who wants to get outside and help nature thrive is welcome to join us on our events 

Clock tower Project  

We have been working with the local community to restore the 'heart of the park' starting with the old clock tower! we want your help coming up with ideas for the clock tower and helping us to mange the area around it 

what to expect...

• Clearing and weeding around the Granite setts/ drainage channels to prevent surface water flooding
• weeding the newly sown wildlife meadow we did in September 
• coming up with planting ideas and designs for the clock tower and the planting beds around the sprots hub and cafe 

What you need to bring 

• Sturdy footwear you don't mind getting wet or muddy 
• Wet  / Warm weather protection (Coats, hats, sun cream etc) Wet weather gear can be borrowed from the Student Union - please contact the Student led volunteering team at volunteer@su.plymouth.ac.uk if needed.
• Water bottle
• Snacks (optional)

Important Notes

Please Contact us before the event if you have any accessibility concerns or any allergies/conditions that you believe we should be aware of. This includes but is not limited to; Allergies to bee stings, any kind of anaphylactic allergy, Epilepsy or any other seizure condition.

Please note, we will be walking on uneven ground so please wear suitable footwear, clothing and appropriate weather protection.

This event will be cancelled if there is a yellow weather warning in place. If cancellation takes place you will be notified through the E-Mail used to sign up for the event
