Freshers Trip 2025!
Keen to try white water and engage with other like minded people? This is the trip for you
This trip is suitable for complete begginers providing you have completed a comptency check on one of our weekly sessions.
The cost is £47.50 which includes transport to and from the two locations we will be paddling, two days of instructing/coaching, overnight accomodation and hire of any relevant safety equipment.
Saturday:
08:00 - briefing and get boats and equipment sorted
08:30 - leave plymouth
09:00 - arrive at totes river
09:30 - safety brief
10:30 - get on the water
12:30 - lunch break
16:00 - get off the water and get changed
16:30 - pack kit away and head to bunkhouse
17:00 - settle into bunkhouse and evening activities e.g. quiz and social
19:00 - eat food (Either a pizza order or in the local town depending on what is voted)
20:00 - QUIZ TIME
21:30 - soclalise and start to wind down for bed
Sunday:
07:00 - wake up and start getting ready for the day
08:00 - leave bunkhouse
08:30 - meet instructor at river dart
09:00 - safety brief and shuttles
10:00 - get on the water
15:00 - get off water
15:30 - debrief and get changed
16:00 - head back to plymouth
16:30 - unload boats and equipment
17:00 - go home

Please be aware that some of the University of Plymouth Students’ Union events may be attended by UPSU approved photographers and videographers, for capturing content to be used in UPSU and University online and offline marketing and promotional materials,
for example webpages, social media or flyers. If for whatever reason, you or a member of your group, do not wish to be photographed, please make yourself known to staff working at the event on arrival or to the photographer.
