Join us for a relaxed evening of trivia and laughs at our Quiz Night! We’ll be in the Rolle Building from 7:30pm–10pm, with doors opening at 7pm so you can get settled and pick your team. Don’t worry if you don’t have a team already — we’ll help pair people up so everyone can get involved. Rounds will cover a mix of topics, from general knowledge to pop culture to a few fun gaming-themed questions, so there’s something for everyone (no expert knowledge needed!). Prizes are up for grabs, but the main focus is on having fun and meeting new people. Feel free to bring along snacks or drinks to keep your brainpower up — just remember to tidy up afterwards. We are also hosting members from the Minecraft Society at this Joint Social, so there will be some Minecraft-themed things around. Go and check them out!

Overview

We aim to be as welcoming and supportive as possible, so if you have any worries about accessibility or are just feeling nervous about getting involved get in contact with us via our social media/email and we’ll do our best to help! In the past we have met people in a familiar spot on campus to walk to the session together, or we have met outside the Rolle building, or just outside the room so you don’t have to walk in alone. We can make sure you’re able to get involved by saying hi, having a chat and teaching you how to play some of our favourite games! If that's not your vibe, and you just want to solo grind some Zelda or Mario Kart time trials that's also completely fine! 
 
Snacks and drinks are welcome as long as everything is left clean and tidy, and help reorganising the room after the session is very welcome, we hope to see you there! 

Quiet Room

(If you have found our sessions a little loud or are worried about the session being too loud or overwhelming, there will always be a chill room in Rolle 119 where the noise levels and vibes are kept more on the down low compared to our other rooms.)

Super SwitchUP! Star

This is our monthly mini-award to recognise a member of SwitchUP! who’s gone above and beyond that month. This could be someone who’s helped set up or pack away early, welcomed new members, been extra friendly and helpful, or made a positive impact in any way. Nominations can be submitted via a form during the first three weeks of the month, and the winner will be announced in Discord at the final SwitchUP! meeting of the month, receiving a small prize like a bag of sweets or a chocolate bar. Both committee and non-committee members are eligible — so only nominate someone if you have a genuine reason!
