Be Still and Know - talk, meditation and Q&A
The Event
Barbara will talk briefly about the practice of stilling the mind as a way of getting to know ourselves and allowing us to connect with our own inner wisdom. Participants will be invited to experience that practice with a gently guided meditation based on a technique called ‘ mere recognition’. This will involve, firstly, stilling the mind and then becoming aware of thoughts and feelings as they come and go and naming them e.g. anger, stress, tiredness, joy, contentment etc, without becoming involved in them or judging them.
Barbara will then open up the conversation for Q&A
