We will be conducting a hedgehog survey around campus to check for hedgehog presence using footprint tunnels and camera traps!
We will be meeting in Rolle 006 for a H&S brief and to collect the equipment we need for the survey at 6pm. We will also discuss proper tunnel/camera trap placement to get the best out of this survey!
Once everyone has been briefed, we will head out to the reservoir on campus to set up footprint tunnels and camera traps in order to survey for hedgehog presence on campus! This will help inform future efforts to protect hedgehogs and other wildlife in and around campus.
We can then return to the 006 for a debrief and discussion about what will happen with the traps/data if necessary.
