A talk on the landscape and archaeological sites of Penwith and the work undertaken by Penwith Landscape Partnership (PLP) with Ancient Penwith project officer Laura Ratcliffe-Warren.

The Penwith peninsula (Located on the Southwestern tip of Cornwall) is a landscape rich in ancient archaeological sites and unique structural typologies. These sites can range from dramatically placed forts upon hilltops to landscape-wide features such as prehistoric field systems which still enclose cultivated land. Penwith Landscape Partnership aims to conserve, survey and promote exploration of this special landscape with an emphasis on community engagement.

Speaking on this topic will be Laura Ratcliffe-Warren, a professional conservator who works for Penwith Landscape Partnership as the Project Officer of Penwith’s ancient past.

This talk will be conducted online via Zoom.
