Guest speaker Ben Sumpter is a mining historian and owner of Cornwall Underground Adventures. This talk will cover the exploration, photography and historical research of mines in Cornwall.

Mining is an industry that has played an important role in shaping the regional character and historic landscape of South West Britain. Cornwall during the 18th and 19th Centuries being known internationally as a centre of industrial innovation and intensive mining.

Guest speaker Ben Sumpter is a mining historian and owner of Cornwall Underground Adventures, a company that provides tours of underground abandoned Cornish mines. This talk will cover the exploration, photography and historical research of mines in Cornwall.

This event will be conducted online via Zoom.
