Students for Global Health National conference on health inequalities! Everyone is welcome!

Students for Global Health (SfGH) are excited to announce that we will be hosting the National SfGH Conference 2021 - Breaking Barriers: Making equity in health a reality for all!

The SfGH vision is for a fair and just world in which equity in health is a reality for all. The stark disparities in health and accessing healthcare have become more publicly apparent in recent months following the COVID-19 pandemic. This conference aims to bring to the forefront important health inequalities within race, socioeconomic status, gender, climate change, mental health and homelessness. These factors are intrinsically linked to health and it is imperative we dismantle the institution and system which allows for inequalities to be in effect. The conference will include:
- Talks from world class and expert speakers on the core topics of Race, Gender and Socioeconomic inequalities
- Workshops on Race, gender, socioeconomic status, climate change, mental health and homelessness, providing education and advocacy
- Opportunity for you to present your research on any aspect of ‘inequalities’ in our Virtual Poster Competition! (Officially hosted by Students for Global Health Newcastle branch)
