Plymouth Sutton and Devonport Hustings - GovSoc

Hosted by - UPSU

With a General Election ramping up, we figured you should know who you're voting for when that ballot comes around. Now, why should you have to go near and far just to figure out who you trust? Well, firstly, there's this link: Secondly, there's our Hustings! Hosted by Government Society, co-hosted by Conservative Society, Debate Society, Liberal Democrats Society, and Plymouth Labour students, and supported by the SU and the University, we've worked together to bring all five MP candidates of Plymouth, Sutton, and Devonport to you:

  • James Ellwood, PSD MP Candidate for the Green Party
  • Luke Pollard, PSD MP Candidate for the Labour Party
  • Graham Reed, PSD MP Candidate for the Liberal Democrats
  • Rebecca Smith, PSD MP Candidate for the Conservatives
  • Ann Widdecombe, PSD MP Candidate for the Brexit Party

Due to the high profile of this event, it will be students and staff only; however, each attendee can bring up to one non-students along, so don't hesitate! There will be an ID check on the door so please bring your University of Plymouth ID if you would like to attend. The event will be free, you just have to "purchase" a ticket so we can keep track of audience numbers. Attendees are expected to adhere to the University's Code of Conduct, despite how they may feel about the varying views and opinions during this event.

  • Doors Open: 1800
