What motivated you to run for a full-time representative role?
My motivation to run for a full-time role came from a genuine belief that student voices need to be put forward, respected and turned into meaningful changes. As a Biomedical Science student and through outreach, mentoring & student engagement, I’ve seen how impactful student perspectives can be. I want to turn feedback into real change and create a more inclusive, supportive and positive Faculty experience.
Why do you think you would be a good President?
I combine strong communication, leadership and empathy with a commitment to act. I am an active listener, a fair representative, and like to work collaboratively with students and staff alike. My experience at the university so far and after engaging with diverse groups of students at my faculty and across Plymouth, has strengthened my ability to advocate effectively. I shall lead with integrity and represent my faculty with utmost dedication and sincerity.
What three words would your friends use to describe you?
My friends would describe me as: Resilient, Supportive, Driven
If you could change one thing in your Faculty what would that be?
From my experience, not every student feels equally comfortable speaking up (I have been there too). If elected, I would focus on improving overall wellbeing by creating safe, inclusive spaces where everyone can share concerns openly. This includes supporting those who may be less likely to speak up, such as some male students, through initiatives like regular SU wellbeing stalls. I believe if every person feels comfortable expressing themselves, it creates a more positive and supportive environment for the whole Faculty.
