For a university experience that is inclusive of everyone, regardless of their needs.

What motivated you to run for a full-time representative role?

My main motivation for running for this role is my desire to ensure that all student voices are listened to, and that change is enacted because of this. I greatly enjoy talking to students and making valuable connections to people, something which I have had the opportunity to do during my time as course representative. I would relish the opportunity to do this on a larger scale and be able to make meaningful difference to people’s university experience, ensuring that everyone feels they belong.

Why do you think you would be a good President?

I currently work as a student community assistant in the SU, which has given me a strong understanding regarding the organisational structure of the SU, giving me a head start if I were to be elected.

I am also extremely passionate about student experience and ensuring that all voices are listened to and enacted upon. This has been developed through research that I have conducted both within my degree and outside of it and will help to keep me motivated throughout my time as president.

What three words would your friends use to describe you?

When I asked my friends what three words they would use to describe me, the main three answers were: empathetic, hardworking and friendly.

If you could change one thing in your Faculty what would that be?

One of my personal interests is how menstruation impacts the experience of university, and with the current cost of living crisis that we are all feeling the burden of period poverty is an extremely prevalent issue facing students. In this vein, one thing that I would like to change within the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Business is to introduce the Red Box Scheme, which is already implemented within the Faculty of Science and Engineering, to ensure that more students can access products.
