During my time at Plymouth University I’ve worked with, and alongside the events department at the UPSU, providing technical solutions for society events on and off campus. Working closely with societies was one of the best parts of the job, and I can’t think of a better way to help develop our large network of societies than working for you, as your Vice President of Activities and Development.

Key Points:
1.Increase Society Engagement
To develop a digital media campaign that students can use as a tool to explore the vast range of activities and opportunities available through societies, volunteering and peer to peer training schemes at UPSU. The delivery of this will be heavily influenced by committee members of all UPSU societies allowing for greater interaction across the board.

2.Improve Communication and Feedback Between Students and UPSU Departments
To design a digital presence for societies, activities and volunteering events feedback at the SU, allowing the SU and societies to gain insight into what the student population want, this would allow for more successful fundraising events and activities.

3.Increase Sponsorship Opportunities
To collate student feedback and work with UPSU staff to open up new routes of sponsorship, and explore new revenue streams to societies, allowing for more funding across the board to groups of societies.
