Zoe Turbill-Higgins

Hi, I am Zoe I am running for VP Wellbeing and Diversity. I am a Mature, Psychology Masters student, Course Representative for 2 years, Elected School Rep 2018/19; member of Student Life Committee. As a mature student I feel I have a broad outlook and a wealth of experience. If you vote for me I will take a holistic approach to achieving a safer and happier university community.

How are You? I will collaborate with; Advice volunteers, student well-being and the advice centre. In order to develop training for student representatives, to provide a greater awareness of signposting students to the appropriate services, such as the well-being centre.

Retreat Week: I will organise 3 weeks; 1 in the weeks following Freshers, the other 2 in the weeks leading to exams. To provide quiet, calm places throughout the campus. Where students can participate in yoga sessions, meditation, resilience training or physical activities.

Happier Community! I will campaign for better communication of current hate crime policies; I will push for a better understanding of healthy relationships and continue to promote them. I wish to celebrate all groups of the university community respectfully and appropriately.

I believe good things come from getting together as a community, this is why I will work with as many people and organisations as possible to achieve these goals.
