Explore an increase in Sponsorship options for Societies
Societies’ costs have been on a steady rise for a number of years without any increase in funding. I will work with SU departments to improve sponsorship opportunities for societies to help alleviate their ever-increasing expenses.
Go Plastic Free
Students have been campaigning for years for UPSU outlets to remove the one-use plastic from the SU bar. I propose the replacement of all single-use plastic items with either a reusable or recyclable alternative to reduce UPSU’s impact on the environment.
Volunteering Accessibility
UPSU are currently doing a fantastic job of offering a range of volunteering opportunities, though there are still many students that are completely unaware of the volunteering department. I will ensure that this department works more collaboratively with other student facing areas to improve the offer and increase the opportunities available to students.
Improved Icons Rewards
I will be working with committee members to revamp the current rewards to help incentivise more societies to go above the mandatory requirements in a way that benefits both the societies and the community as a whole.
