Go Green for 2019
#GreenTeam
Reasons for running
This past year, I’ve had the chance to represent students at a course, school and faculty level and to lead my own volunteering project with the SU. These opportunities have allowed me to develop my confidence and understand the processes involved in making changes. I have become increasingly passionate about working with and representing students and I’d love to continue to do so to the best of my ability.
My goals
Many students struggle to remain focused in lectures and like to prepare for beforehand. I will campaign to ensure any handouts are available 48 hours before a lecture on the dle and that breaks are provided within 2 hour lectures. Also making sure lecturers are aware of any student with additional needs to make lectures more inclusive.
Students from a number of courses are currently unaware of who their course reps are and how they can help improve their university experience. I will provide starter packs and deliver workshops during the year to provide guidance and support and to help get more feedback from students.
I will lobby the university to make more rooms available for booking and to advertise room timetables to allow more students to take advantage of the university facilities.
Finally, I am here to represent all students, undergraduates and postgraduates, to improve your academic experience.
