CHLOE LINTERN

Hi everyone!

My name is Chloe and I’m a first year economics student (despite it being my second year at university!) I had the privilege to attend NUS conference last year on behalf of UPSU and ensured that your voice was at the heart of the way I voted.

Some students are sceptic toward NUS and believe that we shouldn’t be apart of the organisation, however its things like this conference which really gives us the power to have a national voice on behalf of Plymouth.

If elected delegate to work on behalf of YOU and give YOU a voice I will ensure that YOU can hold me accountable but

  1. Ensuring that I post a report of what motions were debated, how I voted and why. If students would prefer I could make this into another format such as a video along with the other delegates.
  2. Ensure that I attend open meetings and any other meetings ahead of conference to talk to students about how they want us to vote for both candidates and motions. As well as having a post on StudentVoice facebook page and UPSU wesbite where students can have their say on motions and candidates.
  3. Ensure that my social media is open to everyone (Facebook Page and twitter handle) so that everyone can track what is happening at conference and see how I am voting as it is happening.
  4. Finally ensure that after conference there are lines of channels such as email and twitter, so that people can ask further questions about my accountability report.

It was an absolute privilege to represent you last year, and I would LOVE to represent you again and ensure that our voice at UPSU is truly recognised nationally. We are the voice of YOU and this is YOUR chance to be heard. Please if you believe in  an open, honest and accountable delegate for me #1 for NUS delegate.
