Time and date: Tuesday 26th November at 6:00 pm.
Where: Meeting on top of the Student Union, then we will proceed to the training ground at Plymouth College (Ford Park, Plymouth, PL4 6RN) around 6:10 pm. Training will run from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.
What is American Flag football?:
American Flag Football is a non-contact, mixed gendered, 5 a-side version of American Football. As a club, we welcome people of all skill levels, you can be a complete beginner or an expert at the sport, we welcome everyone! The game is fast-paced with our matchday games lasting 40 minutes. Starting on Saturday 30th November we will be starting our season which means playing 2-3 games every fortnight on Saturdays. We also have a Varsity match which is the main highlight of the year!
Our club is only £10 to join which makes it one of the cheapest clubs available in the University with no need to pay subs fees for matches/training.
Details about the give it a go session: At this session, we will ease the newcomers into the sport by explaining how exactly the game is played, running through offensive and defensive drills and eventually playing a practice match in the last 40 minutes.
All you need to bring is appropriate clothing and footwear for the Astro-turf pitch that you would feel comfortable in. Bringing a drink of water is also highly recommended.
