The Summer Ball is back! 

For one night of the year, we take over the University of Plymouth campus to host the biggest student event in the UPSU calendar.

Multiple stages, live music, entertainment, food and drink - the only way to round off your year (or your time at Uni) in true style.

This year’s Summer Ball will take place on Saturday 18th May 2024.

Who can attend the Summer Ball?

Any current student at the University of Plymouth can purchase tickets to the Summer Ball. As a student, you can purchase up to two tickets to the Summer Ball and one of these can be for a guest who is not a student at the University of Plymouth.

The Summer Ball is an over 18s event and so you (and any guests you bring) must be over the age of 18 and valid photographic ID must be produced at the Ball entrance and on request at the bars inside the Ball.

What do the different ticket types mean?

There are two types of Summer Ball tickets – Standard and Premium. The Standard ticket gives you access to the whole event, except the Premium area. The Premium ticket will give you access to the whole event, and the dedicated viewing area of the main stage, a private bar and extra toilet facilities. Premium tickets are only available to final year students.

Can I bring non-student guests to the Summer Ball?

Yes, each student is entitled to purchase up to two tickets and one of these can be for a non-student guest. The ticket for your guest can be purchased at the same time that you purchase your own ticket. Any guest/non-student attendee of the Summer Ball must be over 18 and be able to show photographic ID, checks will be carried out by door and bar staff at the event. The tickets below state "Students Only" because only students can purchase the tickets.
