With so many events and activities happening at the start of the academic year, plus potentially moving into new accommodation and starting either a new course or a new academic year, it can be difficult to find the time to explore and take part in every opportunity university life has to offer.

If you are someone who didn't join a student group in September but now wishes you had, it is not too late to sign up!

Every University of Plymouth student is a member of UPSU, and as a member you have access to over 100 student-led societies, such as academic societies, political and campaigning societies, and societies that revolve around food and drink and much more! They are a major part of what we are about, and they help connect you with others who share your passion.

Joining any one of them is a great way to make the most of your university experience, meet new people, learn new things, explore your passions, and have an incredible time!

Sports Clubs offer much more than just playing sport and UPSU sports clubs are committed to delivering an excellent sporting student experience by providing you with a wide range of opportunities to get involved in sport and activity, exploring new and exciting places, developing personal skills, celebrating sporting achievements, developing a community and pride and also a chance to create lasting friendships!

There is also the chance of representing University of Plymouth on a National and Regional level. British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) offers you the opportunity to compete for the University on a Wednesday afternoon in a range of sports.
