Hi! I'm Aelenor, I'm in my 4th year of my Undergraduate Psychology degree and your School Rep for the School of Psychology this year!
What I wish to do as your School Rep:
-Improve communication: Ensure students are aware of opportunities, events and developments within the School, while making clear how their feedback can contribute to positive change.
-Make feedback approachable: Be a friendly and accessible point of contact for questions, concerns and suggestions, helping students feel comfortable sharing their experiences and communicating their feedback to faculty.
-Encourage collaboration: Work with Psychology societies and student groups to create more opportunities for students across different courses and year groups to connect and collaborate.
-Strengthen representation: Ensure students across all courses have a clear route for raising feedback by working alongside course reps and providing an additional point of contact when needed.
-Build from my experience: Use what I learned as School Rep in 24-25 to make my second year in the role even more effective. I aim to proactively identify common feedback and ensure students can see how their voices contribute to the School.
A little about me:
I'm currently in my final year studying Psychology with a particular interest in child neuropsychology, cognition and understanding how the brain influences behaviour. Alongside my degree, my favourite experience I've gained has been working with children and young people, including working in a specialist school, supporting children with SEND on a one-to-one basis, and working in a nursery. Outside of Psychology, I'm passionate about sport, music and art, and enjoy getting involved in societies and activities around these interests. I'm always happy to have a chat, so if you see me around, come say hi!
If you have anything you wish to discuss with me feel free to drop me an email at: aelenor.berry@students.plymouth.ac.uk.
