Now that we are on the wind down for this academic year, we are slightly changing how the Fruit & Vegetable Co-operative works over the Summer months (May- August). This will mean that university or SU staff may volunteer their time, as well as other students who have not yet volunteered for the Veg Boxes. We know that many of you will be here over the Summer and may want to be involved in the scheme!

Can you volunteer half an hour on a Tuesday over the Summer  (May-August)? (This doesn't need to be every week!)

Would you like to receive a Fruit and Vegetable box for £3?

Do you want to meet other people and develop new friendships?
If your answer to all of the above is 'Yes', then join the SU Fruit and Vegetable Summer Co-operative Scheme !

What is the SU Fruit and Vegetable Co-operative?

The Fruit and Veg Co-op is a student-led initiative that aims to support with the Cost of Living and reduce food waste. By receiving surplus fruit, vegetables, and other groceries from the local charity  FareShare SouthWest , students work together to organise produce, splitting this fairly between each box.  Once this has been sorted, and everything packed away, you can take your produce!

The produce is £3 per box (card only- BYO Bag). Please note that we do not know which produce will be delivered until the day of.

Where does this happen?

At the South Entrance of the SU, on The Stage!

If you are still around and would like to be part of the co-operative over the Summer, please fill out this new form https://forms.office.com/e/42p8eQc21a  and we will email you with the details. Please note this will just be for the Summer months. If you have not completed this form, you won’t be on our Summer mailing list ??.
