PICNIC, the university's Ultimate Frisbee Sports Club, hosted the Southwest Mixed Indoor Regional Tournament last weekend to great success.
16 teams competed including 2 from the University of Plymouth with the top 4 teams securing a place at nationals. Both of PICNIC's teams played amazingly throughout the weekend especially in their challenging matches against stronger teams.
PICNIC's first team did amazingly and came 5th overall for the whole tournament! Across our teams, we had Ben Wells and Jocob Doyle as our MVPs for outstanding play as well as boosting team morale. We also had Maisie Benham and Cerys Mills as our MIPs showing remarkable improvement from the start of the tournament to its conclusion.
Overall, this was a massive success for our club and helped strengthen our ties with other southwestern university teams.
