    On site parking solution for students

      For those who commute from outside the city, parking for university is both hard to find and expensive. Some students have jobs they go to before or after Uni or maybe have to drop children at school or pick up after schools and therefore have no choice but to drive rather than rely on public transport. I think it would be good to at least consider what types of parking solutions we could have for day students.

    10:20am on 3 Apr 19 Thanks for submitting your idea, make sure you get your friends to comment and vote! With parking on campus at a premium, it is extremely unlikely that spaces would become available on site. However, if students would like to suggest alternative ideas they could be considered.
    How it works:

    a) Login and submit and idea on this page

    a) Have at least 250 up-votes, and 75 more up-votes likes than down-votes within 4 weeks of posting in order to be progressed, where feasible. Otherwise it will be rejected.

    b) The SU Student Voice Team will be responsible for communicating what course of action will be taken next to progress your idea.

    Depending on your idea, we may;

    • Reject the idea
    • Request more information or more evidence of support
    • Approve the idea
    • Refer your idea to one of the democratic decision making meetings of the union - Student Forum, Union Council or Student Members Meeting

    c) If the issue is considered a liberation Issue by either the Student Voice Team or the Sabbatical Officer Team, it will instead be passed to the appropriate Forum via the relevant Part-time Officer.
