Be Active, Reduce Stress (B.A.R.S)

Wellbeing referral activity project to assist you in your time at University.

BARS was a brand new project for the 2018-2019 year. The Student Union will be working closely with the University Wellbeing Services and personal tutors to give you more opportunities in your wellbeing journey. This is a referral project that enables you to access 6 weeks of free Give It A Go activity, as well as other group activities whilst gaining support from student ‘buddies’ and SU staff.

You can access the project through the University wellbeing services or speak to your personal tutor who can refer you to Rachel Miller - Activity Coordinator (Social Sport) If deemed low level mental health such as stress, anxiety or depression you will have the option of referring to the B.A.R.S. project.
