Celebrate Success - Societies

The celebrate success awards are only for societies and volunteers of the UPSU and is a chance to recognise them on an individual basis for their hard work and determination within their society or their volunteering group this academic year.

Nominations open on Friday 1st of March and close on Monday 8th of April 2024. Those who have been nominated and shortlisted will be notified for the awards ceremony on the 2nd of May 2023 in the SU Little Room.

We have a variety of awards up for grabs, and can't wait to look through your nominations.

Best Newcomer
This award is given to a new society that has been approved at the forum this academic year (2024/2024). A society that has done extremely well in gaining members and has put on plenty of activities for their members to enjoy. Chair of the Year
This award goes to a chair/president of a society who has really gone above and beyond in their role in the society. Secretary of the Year
This award goes to a Secretary of a society who has really gone above and beyond in their role in the society. Safety Officer of the Year
This award goes to a Safety Officer of a society who has really gone above and beyond in their role in the society. Treasurer of the Year
This award goes to a Treasurer of a society who has really gone above and beyond in their role in the society. Non-Core Committee Role of the Year
This award goes to a non-core committee member of a society who has really gone above and beyond in their role in the society. SLV Volunteer Award
This Award goes to an SLV project leader or volunteer who has a really passion for volunteering, has attended multiple SLV trips and has really made an impact to the SLV programme. Most Improved Society Award
This award goes to a society who has really improved what they have offered to members. This can be awarded to societies who have recently adopted a society or have picked up a society who has not been very active in previous years and has really made a change.
