As a member of the SU you have access to over a 100 societies, they are a major part of what we are about, they help connect you with others who share your passion.
All our societies here at the SU are student led. Joining any one of them is a great way to make the most of your university experience, meet new people, learn new things, explore your passions, have fun and have an incredible time.
Society Subscriptions: Everyone who signs up to a Society must first pay a subscription (Subs) fee of £3, this fee is reinvested back to students by supporting UPSU Sports Club activities and funding facilities, transport, insurance, events and competition entries and affiliations - UPSU does not make any profit from this charge. The subscription fee is a one off payment it can be paid at the same time or any time before signing up to a society, it must be paid even if a society does not charge a membership fee.
Society Membership Fees: These are set by the societies and it does vary on what is included within the membership fee there may be additional costs throughout the year – it is advisable to contact the society before signing up.
