Update: Tier 2, student travel window and travel/change of journey fees

Following the UK Government’s announcement yesterday you may have seen that Plymouth will be moving to Tier 2 from Wednesday 2nd December when the national lockdown ends.

The following restrictions will come in to place on Wednesday 2nd December:

  • From 2 December you will no longer be required to stay at home wherever possible.
  • You will not be allowed to mix with anyone from outside your household or support bubble indoors, either in a private home or a public place.
  • You can socialise in groups of up to six people outdoors - either in private gardens or public places.

Student travel window

 

To ensure that students can be home at the end of the winter term but also reduce any transmission risk, the UK Government is asking that students return home once the national restrictions have been lifted, in a student travel window lasting from 3rd – 9th December.

Change of journey fees waived for students travelling home at Christmas

 

If you booked your tickets to travel home before the student travel window was announced on the 11th November and need to reschedule your travel to fit into the student travel window (3rd – 9th December) you can now rebook your travel without needing to pay additional fees.
