About

We're back! 

We're a student society embracing the Hindu values of love, peace, truth, right-conduct and non-violence. The vibrant society is back to celebrate many religious festivals and provide a platform for students to meet one another and create lasting friendships. You've heard it before but we'll say it again, we aim to create a home away from home experience for every student and bring the entertainment and fun element into the student without losing the values of Hinduism to enable them to have a wonderful student life.

Socials

As a society we aim to bring together Hindus and those wanting to learn more about the religion together in regular socials whether it be just to pray and have a relaxing evening from lectures or get together to play games, debate and drink filter coffee/tea (we're not here to judge :P). Saying that, let us know what you'd like to see from us as well!

Volunteering and service to humanity is deeply rooted in Hinduism, and the society aims to participate in various different charity events and host our own events and a Sewa Week sometime in the academic year incorporating charity for humanity, animals and the environment.

Events

We hope to celebrate different festivals in Hinduism whether it be Navrathiri in the Autumn or Thai Pongal in the winter month of January so that we can raise awareness on different festivals in Hinduism from Hindus of different backgrounds. So if you don't know what Thai pongal is or Ram Navami is or any of the countless festivals we have in Hinduism for that matter, stick around to find out and celebrate with us!
